Video Surfaces Revealing Amazonian Synod Idols Cast into the Tiber

Footage has surfaced on YouTube earlier today that appears to show an unidentified man walking into a church and seizing the infamous Amazonian idols of Pachamama, recently used in the pope’s sacrilegious pagan celebration in Vatican City corresponding to the Roman Catholic Amazonian Synod (1). The video then shows a brief walk out to the Tiber River in Rome, setting the idols on the rail of a bridge and then violently casting them into the river water below. Five idols total were shown thrown into the ancient river (2).

The video itself seems unverified outside of a slew of articles reporting this same source. There’s yet no comment from the Vatican or the Church. There are multiple sections of footage in the video which are muted, perhaps to protect the perpetrator’s full voice from being heard publicly. The caption of the video reads “Monday 21st of October. Rome. Pachamama Pope Francis Pan-Amazon Synod (2);” the dark sky which is clearly seen above the church’s facade seems to indicate that the footage was taken in the early hours of this morning. Laureate has confirmed the identity of the church the man visited as Santa Maria in Traspontina, the holy place where the idols were last officially put on display (3).

The bridge has also been identified as the Ponte Sant’Angelo, or the “Bridge of Angels,” just beside the Castel Sant’Angelo, whose looming turrets can be seen as the man makes his way to the river. The bridge features reliefs of multiple, nameless angels who solemnly bear the instruments of Our Lord’s Passion. The bridge was likely a symbolic location to destroy the current Pontiff’s sacrilege, as it was not the closest bridge to the church from which the idols were taken.

Catholics from around the world have heralded the unknown man online as a hero for his actions in ridding the Roman Church of a blatant Christian travesty.

Update, October 21st, 1:30PM:
A statement has been released to Church Militant from those involved in disposing of the Amazonian pagan idles:

“This was done for only one reason:
Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, his Blessed Mother, and everybody who follows Christ, are being attacked by members of our own Church.
We do not accept this! We do not longer stay silent! We start to act NOW!
Because we love humanity, we can not accept that people of a certain region should not get baptised and therefore are being denied entrance into heaven.
It is our duty to follow the words of God like our holy Mother did.
There is no second way of salvation.
Christus vincit, Christus regnat, Christus imperat!”

Additionally, the Vatican has issued a response, first from Prefect of Communications, Paolo Ruffini. Officials reported that they learned about the incident first from social media, condemning the acts as generic “theft,” and a betrayal of the “spiritual dialogue that should always animate everybody (4).”
